‘Meet the Artist: Celine Daemen’

Celine Daemen's work lies at the intersection of theatre, music, visual arts and technology. After graduating from the Maastricht Drama Academy, she founded her own Studio Nergens to create artistic projects together with other artists. The common thread in her works are immersive experiences in which you question yourself through universal, philosophical questions. Her VR opera Songs for a Passerby won the Venice Immersive Grand Prize at the Venice Film Festival 2023 and will be shown at Bozar from 18 to 27 June. In this Meet the Artist, moderated by Lucas Dewulf, Daemen reveals her award-winning creation, hints at future works and talks about her residency in New York.
